Ingredients

For the Flautas:
🥩 Shredded beef
🌽 Corn tortillas
🥬 Shredded lettuce

🧀 Queso fresco, crumbled
For the Avocado Salsa:
🥛 1/2 cup Mexican crema
💧 1/2 cup water
🌶️ 3 serrano peppers (or more for extra spice)
🌿 A small bunch of fresh cilantro (about 1/4 cup)
🥑 1 avocado
🧂 Salt to taste
🫒 1/4 cup olive oil


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Avocado Salsa:
    • In a blender, combine 1/2 cup of Mexican crema, 1/2 cup of water, 3 serrano peppers, cilantro, 1 avocado, and 1/4 cup of olive oil.
    • Add salt to taste and blend until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Flautas:
    • Warm the corn tortillas briefly to make them pliable, so they don't break while rolling.
    • Place a portion of shredded beef onto each tortilla, then roll them as tightly as possible.

  3. Frying:

    • Remove the flautas and drain on paper towels.

    • Lay the fried flautas on a serving platter.
