Ingredients:
🍗 6 chicken drumsticks
🧂 Salt to taste
⚪️ ½ tsp white pepper
🧄 1 tsp garlic powder
🧅 1 tsp onion powder
🌶️ 2 tbsp of Jugo Maggi Hot 'n Spicy
🌶️ 6 tbsp of Salsa Valentina
🍊 Juice of ½ orange
🍋 Juice of 1 lime
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken:
Begin by making a cut along the length of each drumstick to butterfly them. This technique helps to ensure even cooking. - Marinate:
Place the butterflied drumsticks into a bowl or tray. Season them with salt to taste. Add white pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. - Add Zest and Spice:
Pour Jugo Maggi Hot 'n Spicy and Salsa Valentina over the drumsticks. Squeeze the juice of half an orange and one lime into the bowl. Mix to ensure every piece is well-coated. - Marination:
Allow the drumsticks to marinate for at least one hour. For best results, let them marinate overnight in the refrigerator. - Grilling:
Preheat your grill to a medium-high heat. Place the drumsticks on the grill with the open side down. Cook for approximately 5 minutes. - Flip and Cook:
Turn the drumsticks over and grill for an additional 5 minutes. Check for doneness by ensuring the juices run clear or using a meat thermometer to confirm the internal temperature is at least 165°F. - Finalize Cooking:
If necessary, flip the drumsticks back to the open side for another minute to ensure complete cooking, especially if juices are still pink. - Serve:
Once cooked, remove the drumsticks from the grill. Allow to rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy your juicy grilled butterfly chicken drumsticks with slightly burnt skin for added flavor.
