These Tropical Fruit and Chamoy Skewers are a delightful blend of sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy flavors that will transport your taste buds straight to the vibrant streets of Mexico. Perfect as a refreshing snack or dessert, these skewers combine fruits with a touch of chili for a unique and delicious treat.

Ingredients

🥒 1 cucumber
🍠 1 small jicama
🥭 1 mango
🍋 Juice of 1 lime
🌶️ 1 teaspoon Tajín powder
🥫 2 tablespoons Chamoy sauce
🍬 1 tablespoon Miguelito candy powder
🍢 12-15 skewers

Instructions

1- Prepare the Cucumber:

  • Begin by peeling the cucumber and slicing it in half lengthwise.
  • Use a spoon to scoop out the seeds from the halves.
  • Cut the cucumber into bite-sized chunks.

2- Prepare the Jicama:

  • Peel the jicama using a potato peeler or a small knife, ensuring all the skin is removed.
  • Wash the peeled jicama thoroughly and chop it into similar sized chunks as the cucumber.

3- Prepare the Mango:

  • Peel the mango and cut it into chunks, making sure they're roughly the same size as the cucumber and jicama pieces for even skewer assembly.

4- Assemble the Skewers:

  • Start threading the cucumber, jicama, and mango chunks alternatively onto the skewers. Continue this process until all skewers are assembled.

5- Flavor the Skewers:

  • Drizzle fresh lime juice over the assembled fruit skewers for a zesty twist.
  • Sprinkle Tajín powder across the skewers for a tangy and lightly spicy kick.
  • Add a splash of Chamoy sauce, letting it coat and enhance the flavor of the fruits.
  • Finish with a sprinkle of Miguelito candy powder for a sweet and chili-infused touch.

6- Serving:

  • Serve immediately as a refreshing snack or dessert.
