Honey Habanero Baked Brie

Ingredients
🧀 1 (8 oz) Brie cheese
🥐 1 (8 oz) Pillsbury crescent rolls, 8-count
🌾 Flour, for dusting
🥚 1 egg, with 1 tablespoon of water for egg wash

🌶 1 habanero pepper
🍯 1/2 cup honey
🍬 1 tablespoon sugar
🌿 Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2- Prepare the Dough:
- Lightly dust your work surface with flour.
- Unroll the Pillsbury crescent rolls and separate them. If using full rolls, cut them in half to wrap around the Brie.
3- Wrap the Brie:
- Place the Brie cheese in the center of the dough.
- Carefully wrap the cheese, ensuring that it's completely covered. Use a pinch of flour if needed to seal the edges.
4- Egg Wash:
- In a small bowl, beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water.
- Brush the egg wash over the wrapped Brie to ensure a golden-brown finish.
5- Garnish:
- Sprinkle black sesame seeds on top for added texture and flavor.
6- Bake:
- Place the wrapped Brie on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
7- Prepare the Habanero Honey:
- Remove the seeds from the habanero pepper and chop it finely.
- In a saucepan, add the chopped habanero pepper and enough water to cover it. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar.
- Bring to a boil over high heat. Once the water has evaporated, turn off the heat and stir in the honey.
8- Finish the Dish:
- Once the Brie is baked, pour the habanero honey over it.
- Optionally, garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color.
9- Serve:
