Ingredients

🍗 6 boneless chicken thighs, chopped
🧈 Chicken skin fat or 1 tablespoon of cooking oil
🍪 1 small pack of original or buttermilk biscuits, small pieces
🧅 1 cup chopped onion
🌿 1 cup chopped celery
🥕 1 cup defrosted peas and carrot mix
🌿 3 fresh bay leaves
🧄 2 minced garlic cloves
🧂 Salt to taste
🧂 Black pepper to taste
🌾 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
🥄 4 tablespoons chicken bouillon
💧 Warm water


Instructions

1- Preparation of Chicken:

  • Start by seasoning the chopped chicken thighs with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

2- Cooking the Chicken:

  • In a large pot, add chicken skin fat or cooking oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned.

3- Vegetables:

  • Add the chopped onion, celery, and garlic to the pot, stirring gently until the onions become translucent.

4- Simmering Base:

  • Sprinkle the all-purpose flour over the chicken and vegetable mixture, stirring constantly for about 2 minutes to remove raw flour taste.

5- Boil Ingredients:

  • Gradually add warm water, filling the pot up to three-quarters full. Stir in the chicken bouillon, bay leaves, peas, and carrots.

6- Dumplings:

  • Once the mixture begins to boil, drop in the cut biscuit pieces evenly over the chicken and vegetables. Gently stir the mixture to coat the biscuits slightly.

7- Cooking the Dumplings:

  • Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pot, and let everything simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, or until biscuits are cooked through and fluffy.
