Ingredients
🌱 2 lb of fresh green beans
🐷 1/3 cup of pork lard
🧄 5 garlic cloves, minced
🌰 1/2 cup of sliced almonds
🧅 1 (6 oz) bag of French fried onions
🧂 Black pepper, to taste
🧂 Salt, to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Green Beans: Start by trimming the ends of the green beans. Wash them thoroughly under cold water and let them air dry. If the green beans are particularly long, slice them in half or into manageable pieces.
Cook the Garlic: Heat a pan over medium heat and add the pork lard. Once the lard has melted, add the minced garlic. Cook the garlic until it takes on a slightly golden brown color, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
Fry the Green Beans: Add the prepared green beans to the pan. Stir them frequently, frying until they become a vibrant bright green color. This should take approximately 5-7 minutes.
Season: Season the green beans with salt and black pepper according to your taste preferences.
Add the Crunch: Incorporate the sliced almonds and French fried onions into the pan. Stir everything together and let it cook for an additional 2 minutes to blend the flavors and heat through.
Serve: Transfer the cooked green beans onto a serving dish and serve immediately as a side dish.
