Instructions:
- Prepare the Beef Patty:
- Season the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure even seasoning.
- Shape the beef into a patty slightly larger than the bun to account for shrinkage during cooking.
- Caramelize the Onion:
- Heat oil in a hot skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced onion and thyme sprigs. Cook until the onions are caramelized, stirring occasionally.
- Sear the Patty:
- In the same skillet, sear the formed patty until browned on both sides.
- To keep it juicy, add a splash of water and continue cooking until desired doneness is achieved.
