Surprise your Valentine with a playful twist on classic chocolate-covered treats. This quirky, spicy-sweet recipe combines the heat of jalapeños with the sweetness of strawberries and cream cheese frosting, all enveloped in a rich chocolate coating. Perfect as a unique gift or a delightful dessert!
Ingredients
🌶️ 4 jalapeños
🍓 1 cup strawberries, chopped
🧀 1 cup cream cheese frosting
🍫 1 cup melted dark chocolate
🍫 1 cup melted white chocolate (optional)
🍬 Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
1- Prepare the Jalapeños:
- Wash the jalapeños and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Make a cut lengthwise on each jalapeño, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Using a small spoon or butter knife, remove the seeds and veins to reduce the heat, if desired.
2- Make the Filling:
- In a bowl, mix the chopped strawberries with the cream cheese frosting until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a pastry or resealable plastic bag, cutting a small corner to squeeze the filling from.
3- Stuff the Jalapeños:
- Fill each prepared jalapeño with the strawberry and cream cheese mixture.
- Gently press the cut sides together to close, wiping any excess with a paper towel.
4- Coat with Chocolate:
- Dip each filled jalapeño into the melted dark chocolate, ensuring they are fully covered.
- Place them on parchment paper to dry.
5- Decorate:
- Optionally, drizzle melted white chocolate over the jalapeños for an added decorative touch.
- Sprinkle with your choice of colorful sprinkles.
6- Present:
- For added effect, dip strawberries in chocolate, placing two together to resemble Cupid’s arrow.
- Use cupcake liners to present each jalapeño as an individual serving.
- Store them in a decorative bag or box to gift them to your loved one.
