Ingredients:
🍚 2 cups steamed rice
🌿 1 sheet nori (seaweed)
🍖 1 can Spam, sliced
🥚 1 egg, beaten
🥄 1 tablespoon Kewpie mayonnaise
🧀 2 tablespoons cream cheese
🍶 1 tablespoon furikake (Japanese seasoning)
Instructions:
- Begin by slicing the Spam into roughly 1/4-inch slices. You should be able to get 8 to 10 slices from one can.
- In a skillet over medium heat, lightly sear the Spam slices until they develop a golden-brown crust on both sides. Set aside on a paper towel to remove any excess oil.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and pour in the beaten egg, creating a thin omelet. Once cooked, roll up the omelet and slice it into strips roughly the width of the Spam slices.
- Lay the nori sheet on a clean, flat surface, and place the musubi mold (or make a makeshift one from the Spam can by cutting out the bottom) in the center. Press a layer of steamed rice into the bottom of the mold, filling it about halfway.
- Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on top of the rice, add a slice of the Spam, and then a strip of omelet on top of the Spam.
- Sprinkle furikake generously over the omelet, then add another layer of rice, pressing it down firmly.
- Lift the mold gently and roll the nori tightly around the assembled rice and fillings to form the musubi. Wet the edge of the nori with a bit of water to seal it shut.
- Finally, cut between the Spam slices to create individual musubi.
- Drizzle or spread Kewpie mayonnaise over the top of each musubi, or serve it on the side for dipping.

Cooking Tips:
- If you don't have Kewpie mayo, you can use regular mayonnaise mixed with a little sugar for a similar sweet taste.
- The cream cheese is optional but adds a delightful creaminess.
