Ingredients:
🌭 6 hotdogs/wieners
🥖 6 hot dog buns
🧅 1 chopped onion
🍅 1 small diced tomato
🧂 Ketchup (to taste)
🟡 Mustard (to taste)
🍶 Mayonnaise (to taste)
For the Creamy Habanero Salsa:
🌶️ 6 habanero peppers
🧀 1 package cream cheese
🧂 Salt (to taste)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Habanero Salsa:
- In a small pot, add 6 habanero peppers after removing their stems and slicing them in half.
- Boil the peppers in water for about 10 minutes until they are soft.
- Once boiled, drain the peppers and place them in a blender.
- Add 1 package of cream cheese and a pinch of salt to the blender.
- Blend the mixture until smooth. If the consistency is too thick, add water gradually until you achieve a creamy texture.
- Cook the Hotdogs:
- Wrap each hotdog with bacon, securing the ends so they don't unravel.
- In a skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat.
- Place the hotdogs in the skillet with the bacon end down to seal it.
- Cook until the bacon is crispy and the hotdogs are heated through.
- Steam the Buns:
- Optionally steam the hot dog buns in the microwave by placing them in a microwave-safe container covered with a damp paper towel for about 15-20 seconds.
- Assemble the Hot Dogs:
- Place the cooked hotdogs into the steamed buns.
- Add mustard and mayonnaise to taste.
- Sprinkle diced tomato and chopped onion over the hot dogs.
- Drizzle ketchup over the toppings.
- Finish with a few drops of the creamy habanero sauce.
Cooking Tips:
- Adjust the amount of habanero peppers according to your spice tolerance.
- The creamy habanero sauce can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
